FOOTMAN JAMES CLASSIC CAR SHOW MANCHESTER EVENT CITY - TVR "WHITE ELEPHANT" TO BE A STAR OF THE SHOW

TVR "WHITE ELEPHANT"
TO BE A STAR OF THE SHOW

The amazing TVR 'White Elephant' registered in September 1988 is a one-off prototype built for Peter Wheeler, the Managing Director of TVR as his personal transport and a vehicle for him to go shooting in.
The car features an experimental build 5.0ltr V8 Holden Bathurst race engine given to Peter to evaluate by the Holden Engine Company.
The White Elephant incorporates the nose from a previous prototype and is the first TVR ever to be modelled using quick drying expanding foam. She is also the first TVR to feature a horizontally mounted radiator and to have the rear number plate lit from inside the cabin.
Some of the old girl’s quirkier features include a countersunk dog basket located behind the passenger seat to accommodate Peter’s gun dog Ned and a hidden compartment to the rear of the cabin to accommodate his gun-boots, shotguns, cartridges and pheasants.
See this and many more superb TVRs, including one of the last Sagaris ever produced (pictured above), on the TVRCC stand in Hall 3.
