AMOC Racing Sets the Standard in Club Racing with Grids Spanning Nine Decades of Motorsport.   The calendar is set, and the entry forms and regulations are about to be released. For 2019, due to popular demand, the AMOC Racing Team has shaken up the race formats to include amendments to the AMOC Intermarque Championship class structure, running the Aston Martin GT4 Challenge as a stand-alone series once again, and re-introducing the Innes Ireland Cup for pre-’66 GT cars but limited to 3000cc. Here are the details of the changes for the forthcoming season: AMOC Intermarque Championship - AMOC Racing’s long-standing Championship for high-performance marques from the 1970s through to 1995 will have a refreshed class structure, with a new class for modified cars running approved post-’95 modifications. Aston Martin GT4 Challenge – The Aston Martin GT4 Challenge returns to being a stand-alone series, outside the GT Challenge series, where competitors will race for individual podium awards. The Aston Martin GT4 Challenge will run on the track with the AMOC Intermarque grid. GT4 Aston Martins will also continue to be eligible for the GT Challenge. GT Challenge – The GT Challenge has been going from strength to strength in recent years. This year, the class structure has been simplified with just two classes – the GT4 Challenge for GT4-spec cars, and the Open GT for other GT cars. The series will continue to run on Dunlop slick tyres. The Innes Ireland Cup – makes a welcome return, offering competitors with pre ’66 GT and touring cars, running to Appendix K, the chance for some sprint races. Cars will be limited to 3000cc maximum, and the series will run at selected rounds –Donington on April 20th and Brands Hatch on June 8th - and will share the grid with the Jack Fairman Cup for 50s Sports Cars – with separate podium awards. Jack Fairman Cup - The Jack Fairman Cup for 50s Sports Cars remains unchanged and will continue to run at all AMOC Racing rounds, supported by the JEC XK Challenge and Mike Hawthorn Trophy. Pre-War Team Challenge – Pre-War racers need to muster their teams and prepare for a bumper year, with four rounds of the Team Challenge on offer for 2019. Put the dates in your diary, and prepare your charges.
