GOODWOOD REVIVAL - THE VERY BEST OF 2014

There was a magical glow about this year's Goodwood Revival Meeting - and not just because the Motor Circuit was bathed in sunshine for much of the weekend. The on-track thrills and spills were spot on and the guests all arrived looking fantastic. These were the ingredients for a corker of a motor racing occasion. Just like last year we had a sell-out crowd of 148,000 visitors to witness the incredible vehicles on show. A sign of the quality and financial value of these automobiles came in the RAC TT Celebration, which featured £150 million worth of machinery. But in the moment, all of that was meaningless and we were all simply entranced by a thrilling race between beautiful motor cars. There were so many more highlights though: the Maserati 250Fs; the stunning double Lancaster display; the 600-strong tribute to the people of Sussex's contribution to the Second World War; the Jaguar D-Type race; the Lavant Cup for Jaguar D-Types, this list could go on...
