One of the 18 Renaults already entered into this year’s Run is the 1903 Swing-seat tonneau owned by Nick Dorrington who will be celebrating his 50th year of taking part this year. Renault is a Manufacturer Patron of the VCR.

All vehicles entered into the Run are cars of interest, most with some incredible stories of ownership or impeccable restoration. But there are other cars of significance such as the 1903 Model A Ford entered by Donald Fisher. This car is believed to be the oldest Ford in the UK and was rebuilt by N.P. Engineering in time for the 2004 Run after being purchased on eBay in America the previous year.

VCR Luggage Transfer

Abels, an Official Supplier to the VCR, each year provide a magnificent service in transporting participants’ items of luggage from selected London hotels or from the Hyde Park assembly area to Brighton on the day of the Run. In the interests of security and the provision of sufficient capacity to manage this service, it must be stressed that this service can only be booked on or before Friday 25 September and that no item of luggage can be transported down to Brighton unless it has the VCR luggage tag attached, as issued in the VCR Participants’ Pack. Bookings can be made upon entry or by logging back into your entry application at www.veterancarrun.com
London Motor Week

During the years, the Royal Automobile Club has introduced a number of events into the week leading up the Run designed to enhance the visitors’ experience, especially for those travelling from abroad. The best established and known associated activities are, of course, the Bonhams Friday Auction and the Saturday Regent Street Motor Show which incorporates the EFG International Concours d’Elegance.

The 2015 Bonhams Auction will be held on Friday 30 October at their New Bond Street salesroom commencing at 4pm with the Automobilia Sale followed by drinks and the VCR Motor Car Sale scheduled to start around 5pm.
