GOODWOOD REVIVAL -UPDATE

With just four weeks to go until the Goodwood Revival, the driver and rider line-ups for what are sure to be 16 action-packed races are filling up with a cavalcade of superstars from the past and present of motor racing. The man you see above has won two World Superbike titles and achieved an incredible 130 podium finishes and 33 wins. To find out who he is, and which grand prix victors, British champions and international race winners will compete against him for the Barry Sheene Memorial Trophy, read on. We are also delighted to announce that to will mark the 75th Anniversary of RAF Westhampnett (Goodwood Aerodrome’s former name), the Revival’s biggest ever moment will take place this September with a huge parade of over 600 World War II vehicles on the ground and in the sky. West Sussex goes to war This year marks the 75th anniversary of RAF Westhampnett – the former name of Goodwood Aerodrome – becoming an active air force base. To commemorate the occasion, a parade numbering over 600 vehicles and personnel will take to the ground and skies on Revival Sunday.

More bike stars join line-up Troy Corser won two World Superbike titles, and he’s just confirmed his participation in the Barry Sheene Memorial Trophy. Three grand prix winners and a host of British champions will compete against him in the two-part contest.

Revival beneficiary named The National Motor Museum Trust has been named as the Official Beneficiary of the Revival and will use the money raised at the event to help keep the iconic BRM V16 Type 15 – which took its maiden race win at Goodwood in 1950 – in running order for many years to come.
